2009-12-26 “BOXINGDAY”
På den här sidan Atlanten kallar man Annandag jul för Boxingday. Jag har ingen aning om varför, men jag är tämligen övertygad om att det inte har med boxning att göra. Jag tog en lång härlig promenad i morse i den stränga kylan. Det gjorde mig gott efter all julmaten igår och i förrgår. Det enda tråkiga var att dragkedjan till min jacka gick sönder när jag hade gått halvvägs så det var ganska kallt sista halvtimmen. Julaftonskväll här åt vi svenskt julbord som Jakob komponerat, det var riktigt fint och igår var det traditionellt amerikanskt julbord med Kalkon som huvudrätt. Jag måste säga att trots att det sistnämnda var utsökt så var det inte riktigt samma klass som den svenska julmaten…

2009-12-25 MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Today it´s Christmas day. And it has been a great one so far; a lot of joy and celebration with my new friends here in Saskatoon. We started up the great feast of the Holy Incarnation, yesterday in the Church with an evening Eucaristic Vesper Service and this morning we gather again in the Holy Covenant Church for the Christmas morning laudes. It was a rich and good experience to celebrate Christmas within the EOC for the first time. After Church today I´ve been hanging out with the Geunters and their relatives. Eating and drinking a lot of good stuff and getting to know some of them better. And I even got some Christmas gifts! I thought this would be the first year without gifts, but I got a pair of really nice warm gloves from the Guenters and cinema tickets from their daughters families, that’s a good thing indeed! I have no idea what´s up the next coming days but I will probably not study tomorrow, cause I need a break from that so I can load up some new energy for the upcoming week. Tomorrow the junior Hockey tournament will start here in town as well, so I guess we will try to get hold of some tickets for the when Sweden plays. Haha, it´s time to go, time for more food…….
